New Visual Studio Scrum Template

Scrum is becoming a dominant methodology in software development and customers have told us that they want a process template aimed directly at and optimized for Scrum teams. 

Today we are announcing a release to Web (RTW) of a brand new Scrum Process Template to support Scrum software development. Microsoft® Visual Studio® Scrum 1.0 complements the MSF for CMMI® Process Improvement and MSF for Agile Software Development process templates already available in Visual Studio. Customers can download Microsoft® Visual Studio® Scrum 1.0 from the Visual Studio Gallery .

Windows Azure tools for Visual Studio, the Cloud more clear now!

In April, we introduced Visual Studio 2010 to the world. One of the breakthrough features we delivered in VS 2010 is IntelliTrace - a tool that enables you to do historical debugging and is a key part of addressing the 'no repro' scenarios that we always encounter.  Customer feedback on this tool has been very positive.

Few days ago, we are announcing the availability of the June 2010 release of Windows Azure Tools for Microsoft Visual Studio.  This brings the power of IntelliTrace to cloud services running in Windows Azure for Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate customers.

Silverlight is Primary Dev Platform for Windows Phone 7 Series; Silverlight 4 RC Now Available

Today at the MIX10 conference in Las Vegas, Microsoft unveiled more details of the Windows^® Phone 7 Series by announcing Silverlight as the primary platform for developing applications on the device platform. The combination of the Silverlight platform, Visual Studio 2010 and Microsoft Expression Blend development tools, and Windows Phone software and hardware, together with the Windows Phone Marketplace, completes Microsoft’s vision of delivering the premier mobile application development experience.

Microsoft also unveiled a release candidate version of Silverlight 4 in anticipation of the full release, which will be available next month.

Customers are now able to download the Silverlight 4 RC, the Windows Phone Developer Tools CTP, and Expression Blend 4 Beta to get ready for the future and begin developing high-performance, compelling mobile applications.
